BioI was launched on November 4 1981 as part of the mighty Soviet exploration of Venus, five days after my twin sister Venera13.
Our mission was to collect and analyse samples from the surface and atmosphere of Venus. We also conducted seismic and photographic surveys to send back to the motherland.
Though the design lifespan of myself and my sisters can be mesured in minutes, the Superior Soviet Technology and Russian ingenuity has enabled us perform well beyond our original design limits.
